Hello August… the last of Summer for the North, and the last of Winter for the South. And let me tell you, I am READY for the warm weather to return to the Land Down Under! I’m so tired of being cold all the time. The houses in Australia are literally built to stay as cool as possible, so that doesn’t help me at all. But hey, I take the cold weather particularly poorly as I’m allergic to it. Yes, literally. I’m in the 0.5% of the human population who suffer extreme reactions (potentially fatal depending on the conditions) to what normal folk would simply an average winter day to rug up.

Hello, July! I’m not quite sure where half the year has gone… but it has, indeed, gone. Between family commitments, work, and my constant health battles (physical and mental) means I’ve been left feeling wrung out. I’m still keeping my head above water, but I’m damn exhausted. Bone deep exhausted. I know I’m not alone in feeling like this, so if you do, please take heart. We’ll all get through this global rough patch, one way or another. But we mustn’t lose hope! Promise me you won’t. I’m serious. Don’t let the cruelty of the world destroy you and never stop dreaming!
